"I began Lean Bodies Consulting with the goal to provide clients with individually tailored training and nutrition programs in order to help them realize their physique goals. To me it's more about fitting people with a program that fits their lifestyle, dietary preferences and goals; more so than having an expensive personal trainer at a gym that counts off the repetitions to everyone in the same way," says Ledin.

Erik began his career consulting for local bodybuilding competitors while at McMaster University. After completing his degrees, he worked for MuscleTech Research & Development/Iovate Health Sciences as their head nutritionist and strength and conditioning specialist. His entrepreneurial spirit kept him consulting on his own where the seeds were planted for Lean Bodies Consulting. In addition he was the official Mrs. America State Pageant trainer, training nearly 20 state pageant winners for the national Mrs. America pageant in 2006.

When asked what he finds most rewarding in his work, Ledin replies, "I really enjoy seeing people realize their fitness goals and learn how to take control of their bodies. When you know you've been a part of someone achieving a goal they've been wanting for a long time, it's very rewarding." He goes on to say that what makes his work so much fun for him is the application of science to real life situations, problem solving, successfully troubleshooting plateaus and paving the way to success.

Amy
Ledin
CO-FOUNDER LEAN BODIES CONSULTING, INC.
Amy, after struggling with weight issues the majority of her life, realized when her son was 9 months old that she did not want to be the mother that sat on the park bench while her son ran around. She wanted to be the mother that ran around with him! So, like most stay-at-home home moms at the time, she started her journey with the help of home exercise videos and Weight Watchers. Over the next year Amy lost close to 70 pounds and was down to a size 8.

Amy has also always had a passion for creating healthy recipes and she put her ideas together in her first recipe book, called Curls & Whey, Better Eating, Better Choices, Better Body. As a Coach, multiple business owner and mom to 5 kids, it's not surprising to hear that the Ledin house is a very busy one. Amy consistently sets the bar high in every area of life and her clients are no exception. Amy makes time to make her health a top priority all ever without her family sacrificing. Amy likes to say, "If I can find the time, we can all find the time. Achieving goals, learning to maintain that achievement and setting new goals doesn't have to be an overly time consuming journey. It's a matter of making yourself a priority too because a better you is also a better you for everyone around you". One of the things Amy loves doing is finding practical ways to make any nutrition strategy fit into each client's life. After all, "If the methodology used is not sustainable, then the outcome achieved is less likely to be maintainable."

Ileen
Natic
LBC COACH
Shortly before turning 40, nearly two years after the birth of her fifth son, Ileen started her journey out of shape and overweight, but on a mission to get healthy and fit. That mission turned into a passion for health, fitness, and hormone research. Her personal struggles with Graves's and Hashimoto's Diseases and the hormonal upheavals of menopause led to researching how hormones can interfere with not only one's well-being but also with one's success with fat loss and fitness. Ileen has utilized that gathered knowledge to assist countless others on how to educate and advocate for themselves and be proactive in their thyroid and hormone-related health issues. Even before Ileen became an LBC coach, she has been Erik's "go to" resource for client issues related to various female hormone issues and struggles by reviewing blood work results, suggesting resources for alternative help, etc.
Having been a client of Lean Bodies Consulting since 2006 (LBC's longest standing client), Ileen was mentored into the ways and methodologies of Lean Bodies Consulting regarding nutrition and fitness and is certified by National Academy Of Sports Medicine (NASM) and Precision Nutrition. She remains immersed as a contributing member of numerous online discussion groups related to health, fitness, diet, and thyroid-related matters and is a contributor and the main moderator of LBC's Lean Bodies Fitness Forum.
Outside of coaching LBC clients, Ileen exercises her love for children as a preschool teacher. Her favorite hobbies include cooking, reading, and relaxing on the beach in Destin, Florida with her family. Ileen's own before-and-after is highlighted on the LBC client page.

Steph
Miramontes
LBC COACH
After years of yo-yo dieting and following diet fads to lose weight, Steph had all but given up on trying to get in shape and stay that way. Shortly after that time her husband came home with a copy of a fitness magazine that featured muscular and not skinny women. Everything changed. It was a complete shift in mindset. The fads ended, and weight training in the gym became a priority. Still unable to reach her goals, she started searching online for more answers. That is where she found the Lean Bodies Fitness forum and the Lean Bodies Consulting Facebook page, which led her to hiring Amy. After working with Amy for a year, her goals of getting in shape finally became a reality.
Unfortunately physique goals had to be shelved when she found herself struggling with thyroid problems, and could not get proper treatment. Because of the health issues that came with poor treatment, training and physique took a big hit. Finding herself weak and tired was unacceptable, so she began to research everything she could about hormones and learned a lot of valuable information in the process that she shares with her clients.
Because of her mentor Amy's support while struggling to find the right doctor and the right information; she now coaches others having similar issues by offering the support they need to stay on top of their own health, while aiming to reach their performance and physique goals.
Steph holds a Sports Nutrition Specialist certification from the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN-SNS), and is a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT). She is always pursuing new information to become the best possible coach and teacher in her health-first approach to a lasting transformation.
Steph resides in Texas with her husband Nefi, and is a mother of 4 boys. When she is not working or training, she spends her time playing with her 2 dogs, volunteering in dog rescue work, and building onto her homestead.

Nic
Elia
LBC COACH
Nicola first started bodybuilding at the age of 14, entering his first competition in 1995 at the age of 15 becoming the youngest competitor in the O.A.B.B.A. history. The next year he won his class as Jr. Mr. Hamilton in 1996 and then placed 3rd in the Jr. Ontario Championships in 1998.
After a 13 year absence from the bodybuilding stage he came back to compete at age 32 at the 2011 UFE Halloween Mayhem taking the light heavy weight class, the overall championship and earning his UFE Pro card in my very first attempt. He went on to compete twice as a professional with the UFE. In November of 2014 he decided to try the IDFA stage at the London Championships. He again won his class, the overall championships and his IDFA Pro card in his first attempt. Three weeks later he placed 3rd at the IDFA Pro Universe held in Toronto.
Although he loves the competitive stage he gets an equal amount of satisfaction from helping others reach their personal fitness goals. He works hard to dispel common myths about exercise and nutrition and strive to show people that it does not have to be an overcomplicated process. Nic has known Erik since he was about 15 years old and have always considered him one of his earliest mentors. Erik instilled in Nicola some of the most important fundamental principles regarding training and nutrition that he still carries with him to this day.

Megan
Jensen
LBC COACH
Megan's passion for fitness stems from her early background in athletics. Since childhood, she was always been heavily involved in competitive sports. In college, Megan played fast-pitch softball for Kansas State University. Shortly after her college softball career ended, she began to experiment with weight training and soon found it to be a new passion of hers. During this time, while working in hospitals and studying to be a nurse, Megan witnessed first hand what the potential side effects that long-term poor nutritional choices, combined with a lack of exercise, can play on the human body. Through this experience, Megan discovered her true calling was helping individuals learn how to find balance in life through nutrition and exercise. She went on to become a certified personal trainer, as well as a national-level figure competitor and a national-level powerlifter.
